ADAM BONNETT

Adam Bonnett, Senior Vice President, Original Programming for Disney Channel, oversees all live action and animation development and current series for Disney Channel's programming block for kids age 6-14. He was promoted to this role from Vice President, Original Programming, in January 2006. Bonnett also is the programming executive in charge of development and current series for the Jetix action/adventure programming airing on Toon Disney, including the latest incarnation of "Power Rangers."

From October 1997 to March 2001, Bonnett was Disney Channel's Director of Original Programming and is responsible for developing many of the networks' successful series, among them the runaway hit "Lizzie McGuire" – which spawned a burgeoning franchise including a feature film; the Emmy award-nominated comedy "Even Stevens;" the popular animated sitcom "The Proud Family" –- the first of its kind to feature an African American girl in the lead role; the action/adventure comedy "Disney's Kim Possible" and Disney Channel's first traditional multi-camera sitcom, "That's So Raven," featuring the broad physical comedy of television veteran Raven (aka Raven-Symoné of "The Cosby Show").

Bonnett oversaw Disney Channel's development of "The Famous Jett Jackson," "The Jersey," "Omba Mokomba," "Going Wild with Jeff Corwin, "Disney's American Teacher Awards" and "Disney's Young Musicians Symphony Orchestra."

Previously, Bonnett was the Director of Current Programming for Nickelodeon where he spearheaded their annual franchise "The Kids Choice Awards." While there, he also managed the programming block Nick in the Afternoon and was the Executive in Charge of Production on "Space Cases" and "The Big Help."

Born and raised in Washington D.C., Bonnett earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Cinema Studies from Tisch School of the Arts, New York University. He resides in Los Angeles, California.
